Dental Outreach Visit to Rwanyana

Uganda 2024

Rwanyana village is in the South West of Uganda, high in the mountains above Lake Bunyonyi.

The village is in a very poor and remote area where most people live off the land and have no additional income.

There is a school and community health clinic in the village, (both supported by Rwanyana Community Trust, a UK charity) but there is no access to dental care.

Dentist, Dr Alison Foxall will be visiting Rwanyana in March 2024 to carry out a dental outreach clinic.

Alison has extensive global experience in operating in field clinics and has made a number of previous dental trips to Uganda and South Sudan

She has also supported the training of local people who have now qualified as dentists. As a result she has a network of dental practitioners in Uganda.

She will be supported by a team of Ugandan dental professionals to provide dental care to around 1000 children and adults in a 2 week period.

Husband Ken, will be joining Alison, to support the programme. Also a dentist, Ken has worked in Tanzania, Uganda, and was  a big part of the South Sudan Dental project.

Can you help us raise £2000 to cover the costs of the Ugandan dental professionals and the dental supplies required?
