update on UkrainiaN driving licenses

We would like to make you aware that the UK Government Department of Transport has launched a four-week public consultation on extending the amount of time that Ukrainians can use their Ukrainian driving licences in GB.

The consultation is proposing extending beyond the current 12-month period the time during which the holder of a Ukrainian driving licence, can drive cars in GB on that licence after the holder becomes resident. The proposed extension will match the current extended visa available to Ukrainians, to three years (36 months), before being required to exchange.

The consultation can be found through the attached link :  https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/ukraine-driving-licence-exchange

The Department of Transport has established a dedicated mailbox for further questions about the consultation: Ukraine.Licences@dft.gov.uk.
